Choose2Snooze — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

Choose2Snooze ("the app") is a flexible alarm app for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what information the app does and does not collect. In plain terms: Choose2Snooze does not have its own servers, does not run analytics, and does not sell your data. The only third-party service in the app is optional video ads from Google AdMob, which appear only if you choose to watch a video to unlock a feature (see below).

Alarms and settings you create

The alarms, schedules, sounds, and preferences you set are stored on your device. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to the developer.

Music and your media library

With your permission, Choose2Snooze can use a song from the music already on your device as an alarm sound. The app reads your local media library only to let you choose a song, and audio is played locally on your device. The app does not upload, copy, or transmit your music.

Audio you record

Choose2Snooze lets you record your own sound to use as an alarm. Recordings are saved on your device and are never uploaded or sent to the developer.

HomeKit

Optionally, an alarm can trigger a HomeKit scene (for example, turning on your lights) when it fires. If you use this feature, the app requests Home access to run the scene you choose. This controls your own home and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer of Choose2Snooze cannot see your home data.

Alarm alerts and notifications

Choose2Snooze uses Apple's AlarmKit to deliver prominent alarm alerts. These alerts are scheduled and generated on your device and are not sent through any server.

Update checks

To let you know when a new version is available, the app may fetch a small public file listing the latest version number. This request contains no personal information and is not used to identify you.

In-app purchases

Choose2Snooze offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock HomeKit scenes on all alarms. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives your payment details; the app only receives confirmation from Apple that the unlock was purchased so it can enable the feature (including restoring it on your other devices).

Optional video ads (Google AdMob)

As an alternative to the purchase, you can unlock HomeKit scenes on a single alarm by choosing to watch a short video ad. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. Ads are never shown unless you tap "Watch a short video." There are no banner ads or pop-up ads anywhere else in the app.

When the app loads or shows an ad, Google's ad software may collect:

Google uses this information to deliver, measure, and improve ads and to prevent fraud. It does not include your alarms, recordings, music, or HomeKit data. For details, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your tracking choice: the first time you choose to watch a video, iOS asks whether to allow the app to track your activity. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," the advertising identifier is not shared and ads are not personalized. You can change this at any time in the iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. You can also manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center.

Data the developer collects

None. Choose2Snooze has no backend server and the developer receives no personal data from your use of the app, except information you choose to send directly (for example, if you email feedback or a bug report). The developer receives only aggregate, non-identifying ad reports from Google AdMob (such as total ad views and earnings).

Children's privacy

Choose2Snooze is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
