Getting started

Create a team. On the Teams tab, tap + and name your team. You can pick an MLB logo or add your own photo.
Add your athletes. Open the team and add players with their names and (optionally) jersey numbers.
Assign a walk-out song. Tap an athlete, then search your music and choose their song. See "song not showing?" below
Set the start & stop points. Drag the Start Time slider to where the song should begin, and set a Stop Time if you want it to end automatically.
Run it in Game Mode. Switch to the Game Mode tab, tap any athlete, and their song fires instantly. Tap Fade to fade out, or Stop to cut it.

Using your Apple Watch

Open Game Mode on your iPhone to sync your roster to the Watch. From your wrist you can tap any athlete to play their song, then Fade or Stop — without touching your phone.

For the Watch to control playback while your phone is locked or in your pocket, keep Settings → Keep Awake for Apple Watch turned on (it's on by default). When it's on and you leave the app during a game, you'll see a notice that Walk-It-Out is still running so your phone stays connected.

Walk-It-Out Pro

Game Mode is part of Walk-It-Out Pro, a subscription that starts with a 7-day free trial, then $2.99/year. Setting up teams, rosters, and songs is always free.

You can manage, cancel, or restore your subscription anytime in the app under the ⚙️ (gear) → Subscription section, or in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an Apple Music subscription?

For most users, yes. Walk-It-Out plays songs from your device's local library, so any track you want to use must be downloaded to your device first. Apple Music subscribers can download songs for offline use in the Music app. Songs purchased from the iTunes Store or synced from your computer also work without a subscription.

Why isn't my song showing up in search?

Songs must be downloaded to your device before they appear. Open the Music app, find your track, and tap the download button (the cloud icon with an arrow). Streaming-only tracks that haven't been saved for offline use will not appear.

How do I set where a song starts playing?

Open an athlete's detail page and drag the Start Time slider to choose where playback begins. Tap the play button next to the slider to preview from that point.

What does Auto-Fade do?

When enabled, the song automatically fades out when playback reaches the Stop Time you've set. You can also tap the fade button in Game Mode at any time to manually fade out.

Can I control playback from my Apple Watch?

Yes. Open Game Mode on your iPhone to sync the roster to your Watch. From there you can tap any athlete to play their song and use Fade or Stop — without touching your phone.

Can I import my roster from GameChanger?

Yes. Open GameChanger and go to your team's roster screen, take a screenshot, then in Walk-It-Out open your team and tap Scan Roster. The app reads the names directly from the screenshot — no manual entry needed. Image processing happens on your device.

I subscribed but Game Mode still asks me to pay. What do I do?

Open the app, go to ⚙️ (gear) → Subscription → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. If it still doesn't unlock, email us below.
